Summer Mixtape 26 – Pt8

Jill’s message centers on Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God,” and her journey from a life shaped by achievement, productivity, and the need to constantly “do” toward learning how to simply be. She reframes being still not as passive quietness, but as surrender: putting down our need to fight, fix, control, and prove ourselves, and trusting that God is present even when life feels chaotic. Drawing from her own story and her work as a therapist, Jill reminds us that our worth isn’t earned through what we accomplish, but comes from being loved by God and created with inherent dignity. Her invitation is to notice what surfaces when we finally get quiet, release what we’re carrying, and trust that amid the storms around and within us, God offers a place of refuge, peace, and rest.
